These intimate cabins are built around the solid branches of the tree tops, each giving way to sweeping views of the majestic Kibler Valley and North Carolina piedmont from the comfort of a vast private deck. As the name suggests, the Barn Owl Tree House provides a unique lodging experience from the aerial perspective of an owl perched in a tall oak tree. And that’s exactly where Barn Owl Tree House is situated, in the strong limbs of an old and beautiful tree perched on a scenic ridge that offers sweeping views of Roaring Creek Gorge and Pilot Mountain North Carolina in the distance.
Built of aromatic cedar and surrounded by wild beauty, the Barn Owl Tree House offers private views of nature on an expansive private deck as well as spectacular stargazing with its 2,700 foot elevation.

Cooper’s Hawk

When you truly want to get away from it all and take in nature, The Cooper’s Hawk Tree House offers a secret retreat in the skyscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains providing privacy, beauty and serenity. Built of cedar wood and spanning two mature trees, the lodging blends a rustic feel with modern amenities within 440 square feet of living quarters for an inspiring getaway like no other.
Located on a mountain peak overlooking the confluence of Roaring Creek and the Dan River some 1,300 feet below, The Tree House offers scenic views down the Kibler Valley, North Carolina. At night, the sky lights up with stars just a small reach away, providing a dreamlike setting for stargazing and a peaceful night’s sleep. Take advantage of both while sitting on the Tree House’s private 564 square foot deck that affords views beyond your imagination.

Golden Eagle

The Golden Eagle Tree House is an utterly unique lodging experience. Set in the strong limbs of one of the oldest and most beautiful oak trees on our property, it was designed and prefabricated in France by renowned tree house architectural firm La Cabane Perchée. La Cabane Perchée’s abiding love and respect for nature mirrors Primland’s own, and we are proud of the fact that they employ a special binding system that allowed them to situate the tree house without driving a single nail into the host tree.
With an inspiring view far across the Dan River Gorge, Golden Eagle is built of aromatic red cedar and sits at the edge the #4 green of our acclaimed Highland Course. Enjoy this completely private and thoroughly luxurious way to experience the tranquility of Primland’s wild beauty.
